LESTAT ABILITIES AND SPELLS REVISED 4/16/2024

Bat Form:
The ability to shape shift into the "guise of the bat" This ability is used to travel great distances when necessary.

Wolf Form:

The ability to shape shift into the "guise of the wolf". Transforming into a large black-furred canine creature. This ability comes in handy when speed is needed to escape when outnumbered.

Mist Form:

When in mist form, We are invulnerable to physical weapons, blade and claw! we can seep through locked doors and cracks and move swiftly, like a shadow fleeing light."

Disguise:

"There are benefits to traveling beneath a human guise. The threat to our person is lessened and much information can be gleaned. However, the illusion is flimsy, and any act of aggression on our part can break the spell."

This form makes a LeStat look like a human peasant. They can move through towns without attracting the attention of the guards. They can also talk to humans, who sometimes gave out information about the area. A LeStat is unable to attack while in this form.

Beguile:

This ability enables all blood linage LeStat's to reverse in age. To go back to a child state for a period of time. It is not permanent. The spell only lasts for a few hours. This can be used in combat to confuse your attacker. This often occurs without any notice when drug like substances besides liquor are absorbed into the body. The beguile ability takes you over for a period of time. This is why sometimes LeStat's will have children pictures up. They are beguiling or disguising

Transference:

This ability allows you to feel what another is feeling. Their Emotions, their bodies, pain or pleasure. This ability is fun during lovemaking especially.

Daylight Tattoo: The Black Kingdom is always in twilight or complete night. The Tattoo enables you to be out in the sun. It is a small LeStat crest on the inside of the thy barely visible. One is not born with the Tattoo. It is a ritual that must be performed by Gage or Winter on any child born after February 2019. All other LeStat's have the Tattoo in place. (I blame this on Vampire Diaries. Thanks for that.)

Childbearing: Unlike other vampires you can bare children. This seems to be a favorite form of role play that I feel cannot be banished from the Black Kingdom writers.

Witchcraft: There are some LeStat's that dabble in the craft. However they are Vampires. Their Vampire spells should always be used first in a combat situation. Witchcraft is only used in non combat situations.

Lightning Speed:

As a vampire you can move in very fast intervals. You can use this for many things.

Spells:

Blood Gout:

"This spell allows us to create a projectile from our own blood which upon striking a human enemy would drain their blood to feed.

Control Mind:

"This spell allows us to enslave our enemies, giving us control of their bodies. When we release our grip, their bodies will shrivel and die, as we displace their souls, then replace them with our own . The soulless corpses can open doors or other things so you may pass in a predicament. Only use on NPC Battle. Do not Auto play another's character.

Inspire Hate:

This spell will lead all of our enemies into a frenzy, making them fight among themselves to death or until the spell's influence fades out. "This spell allows us to exploit the petty prejudices of man. Minor grievance would escalate to murderous rage and oh, the sweet terror when the spell wore off and they saw their hands covered with their neighbor's blood." This ability should be used in NPC battle or stories only. Do not use to auto play an others character.

Blood Shower:

This spell allowed us to drain and feed with the Blood of nearby enemies, The victims that were in the vicinity would suddenly die nonetheless. "Oh, to bathe in the blood of others! This spell is especially useful in the face of multiple combatants. This Ability is to used in an NPC setting to feed also to assassinate multiple enemies.

Spirit Death:

This ability allows us to throw a straight traveling projectile able to displace the victim's Soul from his body, causing an instant death. Only use in NPC combat or story lines

Incapacitate:

"Through this magic, We can stop our enemies in their tracks. Frozen in time, they can do nothing to hinder their own doom. Sometimes, I draw out their fate, for the added fear sweetens their blood." For Feeding if desired. Only in NPC settings.

Telekinesis:

Telekinesis is an ability to manipulate objects using the mind. When used a reticle will automatically 'lock-on' when aimed at enemies or manipulable objects within range Once locked on, activating the ability would fire a 'telekinetic projectile' at the desired characters, powerful enough to kill Human NPC's

The Heart of Darkness:

It is a relic that has the power to restore vampiric unlife, and it was "reputed to have been ripped from the chest of the greatest vampire to have ever existed.  Dark Lord David LeStat.  If a LeStat possessed a Heart of Darkness, it would instantly revive them if they were defeated by their enemies. They could use the Heart of Darkness artifacts at any time to improve their health, adding the blood of the hearts to their own blood.

Flay:

"These curious devices hurl bolts of whirling energy and eviscerate our human enemies by stripping ragged flesh from bloodstained bone."

Flay artifacts were projectiles that homed in on an enemy, then ripped the flesh from their bones.

Implode:

"Of all the methods we employ, this is perhaps the cruelest, causing our victim's body to shrink on itself, crushing bones and rupturing organs 'til the pressure inside bursts the sac of fleshy skin, spraying its contents for all to see."
If these projectiles struck an enemy, their body rapidly compressed. The remains exploded when the internal pressure became too great to be contained.

Slow Time:

"At times, our magic extends into very exotic disciplines such as the manipulation of time. We are able to slow time down, so we can move about quick as a wolf, while all others move as though they were mired in mud."

Slow Time artifacts worked like a spell. All enemies and creatures in the area move at a quarter of their normal speed for a limited time.

Font of Putrescence:

"Should this object strike an enemy, rot and decay would instantly eat their flesh, and leave only a pool of blood and tissue. For a time after, the toxins are still active, and therefore lethal to the touch."

These artifacts were homing projectiles that caused enemies to decompose upon contact. The pool left by their dissolved bodies acted as a trap, promising the same fate to anyone that stood in it.

Pentaliche of Tarot:

"A medley of death and evisceration. Let fate choose my enemy's demise."

The Tarot randomly picked how the LeStat's enemies would die. There were four different outcomes that could be dealt, and it killed all assailants who were in close proximity to a LeStat. From observation, it appeared that the four outcomes are as follows:

    Flay
    Dissolve (Font of Putrescence)
    Implode
Explode into lots of tiny bits (like Flay, but with no skeleton left)

Anti-Toxin:

"When conjured, the Energy Bank permits us access to mass amounts of magical energy for a brief period of time. However, when the moment passes, we will be drained of all magic, unable to cast even the simplest of spells."

These artifacts filled the LeStat's magic reserves for a while, but when their effect faded, A LeStat was left with no magical energy at all. Despite this disadvantage, the Energy Banks were valuable for use with the Soul Reaver. They ensured The LeStat's had the magical energy needed for the sword to show its full potential.

The Soul Reaver:

"Time fades even legend, and the origin of the Soul Reaver sword has been lost long ago. But its purpose remains - to feed on the souls of any creature it strikes. Kindred, this blade and us."

The Soul Reaver sword could explode most enemies with one hit. As the Soul Reaver was a two-handed weapon, A Lestat cannot cast spells or use items while they are equipped with it. The sword requires an expenditure of a LeStat's magical energy to maintain this level of power, and it drains the LeStat of magic reserves by an amount equal to the health of each creature it killed. If a LeStat had no magic energy left, the Soul Reaver was only as effective as a Regular Iron forged Sword. Thus putting the vampire at a disadvantage.

Sanctuary:

"The Sanctuary spell enables us to travel to our crypts, where the soil of our graves provides us respite. We often resort to this when we are weak and need nourishment."

A LeStat could use this spell to return to their mausoleum at any time, and if their Blood supply was nearly empty, they would receive a top-up, a replenishment of nourishment once they arrived there.  Also, long needed rest, would replenish the body, returning one to their original strength.

Repel:

"Invoking this spell cloaks us under a protective aegis. Whatever spell is cast at us will be reflected back at the caster, leaving us unharmed. It will only last for a short time, however, before leaving us vulnerable once more."

This spell created a magical shell around a LeStat. Until it wore off, they are protected against all enemy attacks, including all types of projectiles.

Spirit Wrack:

"With this spell we can tear a creature's soul from it's body, leaving it's vacant flesh ours to control!"

This was a more powerful version of the 'Control Mind' spell. Using it, A LeStat could seize control of any enemy's body for a lengthy amount of time.

Lightning:

"With this spell we can call upon the heavens to tear our enemies apart with its explosive power. Oh, how their bodies will rupture as the scything energy rips through them!"

This spell could only by used outside,  it is arguably the most destructive spell at a LeStat's disposal. It brutally kills all enemies in the area, raining down multiple bolts of lightning upon them.

Light:

"While it is true that natural light weakens a vampire, magical light can have many uses indeed."

A LeStat can use this spell to illuminate dark areas, making it easier to locate doorways and enemies.

Energy Bolt:

"The energy bolt employs magical force in its rawest form. A messy spell, but a potent one nonetheless."

This spell allowed a LeStat to launch a powerful projectile of energy against their enemies.  Thus incapacitating their foe.

Stun:

"The human mind is a fragile thing. One minor shock, properly timed, can render them catatonic and ripe for feeding."

This spell causes humans to enter a wavering state, allowing a LeStat to feed easily.  The victim is catatonic.  They have no control of their bodies or facilities.

"The Lost Girl, Whom Is She?"

"The Lost Girl, Whom Is She?"

Gage walked down from the edge of the cliffs hanging his head, feeling very melancholy he slowly made his way back towards the Castle LeStat. Pushing an empty swing in the playground, he still could envision the young girl from the past, in his mind. That same swing where he had watched her play with a doll. Grabbing the chain upon the swing, he pulled it back then threw it in the air making the swing erratically jolt into the sky.

Gage was beginning to fill with anger from the overwhelming sense of loss he was feeling. The closer he got to the palace, the more irritated he became. Clenching his fists, he punched a large hole into the wooden gate as he exited the playground then kicking the door shut with his boot. The large antique gate broke in two large pieces.

Visions of the young girl were still deeply embedded into his thoughts. Who was she? He wondered. Why was my own mother so saddened when she released her grip upon the blonde girl? None of it, made any sense at all. He racked his brain trying to remember more of that day, Gage knew deep within his heart that small girl was not a stranger, but whom was she? Why did her feel so close to this child?

He felt an overwhelming sense of protection, where the young girl was concerned. How could he protect someone he didn't even know? The questions that played in his mind, deepened, the anger now welling inside of him. He continued to walk as the memory of that day played over and over in his mind. Little did he realize, he was not walking towards his home at all. He was so deep in his thoughts, he had actually continued on past the castle, he was nearing town square.

The village was inundated with humans, their presence upset the King as he made his way through them. Beggars and thieves, the kind of people he normally would have incarcerated for their wrong doings. He smirked, as a deep sated blood lust over came him. The impeccable scent of the mortal blood filled the air. It had been quite a while since Gage's last meal.

Throwing a projectile into the air, it rained down a spell over the residents. Now incapacitated, they began to wobble where they stood. Through this magic, He could stop the humans in their tracks. Frozen in time, they could do nothing to hinder their own doom. The anticipation of their demise added fear, thus sweetening their blood.

Gage raised his hands into the air, the mass of people caught in the spell began to bleed from their mouths. Tossing his head, back he willed the mass of victim's blood to exit their bodies. He gladly took communion from all them. He absorbed their blood in a macabre form of a blood shower freely raining into his mouth. "Oh, such a flavor" he had not had in so long. This spell had drained all in the area of their life's blood. Gage had not used this spell since he were a boy. He smirked as their drained lifeless corpses littered the area. Running his hands through his blood drenched hair, he laughed then wiped off his mouth with his sleeve.

A darkness was overtaking the king. He was now in a very blackened state of mind. The once jovial, proper gentleman Gage, was changing rapidly into something completely different. The anger he felt over his mother Ayumi and the small girl had now taken on a form of pure rage. His demeanor had completely changed. This was not the work's of Lord Nightshade.

The psychosis Gage was enduring was his own. He would not give Alucar credit for the darkness consuming his mind. Not this time. Perhaps, Gage was becoming what he was always supposed to be, A natural born killer, not this charming man that deprived his hunger of human blood, to be cordial to his residents.

Gage was well respected in the Black Kingdom, due to his demeanor. Vampire and humans alike, all walked without fear of the Vampire King of The Black Kingdom. This was a change that was due. Gage was tired of the nice boy routine. He was quickly becoming what he truly was always meant to be.

Perhaps Alucar was right all along. There was something exciting about being feared. Gage was beginning to enjoy this new revelation he had upon this night. "I am King Gage LeStat, The Black King of the Black Kingdom. I shall do what what I want, when I want. No one will get in my way period. No one."

He knew he should go back to the Castle LeStat. Still in this darkened state of mind, he walked in the back doors of the castle. He avoided seeing anyone in his blood covered state. Quickly going into the restroom he removed his blood drenched clothing, throwing them into the trash. He showered away all of the dried blood from his pale skin. Smirking as the stained water pooled at the bottom of the shower then quickly washed down the drain. He got out of the shower, ran a comb through his black locks, then went into the bedroom changing his clothes going unnoticed by anyone.

Gage heard his sister Amara's voice echoing up the stairwell. He shifted his demeanor quickly so no one would notice the change in him. He ran down the stairs and greeted his sister. "Hello Sister, What a pleasant surprise. What brings you all this way at this time of the night? Do come in." He saw her suitcases. "Are we planning to stay awhile?  He hugged her smiling doing his damned best to hide the darkness that was now consuming his mind and heart. He hoped he could fool his sister Amara. Although, Gage knew, she were no fool.

The Glass Coffin

"THE GLASS COFFIN"

Gage reached over to a cold and barren spot.  The place where his beloved lay against him, in their wedding bed.  A crimson tear welled up in his eye, then trickled down his cheek.   The tear of blood gently fell against the silken sheets.  "Oh Nika, my beloved black desire. Why didn't you tell me your wicked family were after you?  Did you not know?  Were you blinded by Morrison's false love towards you?  I told you never to return to his lands.   You went there didn't you?  Were you baited? Or was it curiosity?  I wish you were listening to me when I told you to stay distant from the Branch Family.  For some reason, you felt you had to go. Why my love... why?"

He wept in the stillness. Thinking a myriad of things Nika's brother Morrison could have afflicted upon his beloved.  Shadows appeared upon the walls,  they performed a twisted show of evil.  One thing more worse, than the last.  Gage was lucid as he watched the production the shadow people performed just for him.  Gage tried to find a way to look away, he could do nothing but remain in their grasp.

He yelled  "Stop this insanity at once, go away... I'll tell you.  Tonight you have successfully disheartened me.  Shes gone.  There is nothing I can do now.  Away with all of you.  Away!"  Through these moments of psychosis, Gage professed to the shadow people "Never again.  Never will I love another.  Never, will I feel the pleasure of the flesh. I am done, with all of this.  Fuck Love. Who needs it? Not I, not after tonight, will I ever love an other."

He closed his eyes tightly.  Shaking his head no, over and over.  Wishing the shadow people away, he knew he was trapped in dark delusions.  He could hear the sound of his daughter Winter from inside of his mind.   "When the shadow people come... Wish them away,  Wish them away Daddy.  With all of your might, Daddy.  Wish them away."   Gage made a wish that the shadows would stop taunting him.  He opened his eyes, they were gone.  He sat there all alone realizing for the first time.  Nika was truly gone.  Buried in a satin lined glass coffin, down in the mausoleum.

The Locket BK

"The Locket"

The walls were graced with wooden torches. The flames lightened the damp darkened hallways as the King began to descend the stairwell. Reaching into his pants pocket, he pulled out an ornate platinum key. A heart shaped key that had not been used in a very long time. This key was special, it opened the doors to the old section of the Castle LeStat. This was the forbidden section, no one could enter here without him. many times he would tell his children this very strict rule. Gage himself, only went down there for special, mainly aesthetic purposes. It had been many, many years since he had been down in this section of the castle. The ambiance of the hallways was somewhat spooky. No wonder his children were frightened when coming here, he thought to himself.

Gage walked down a long corridor to a large ornate wooden door. It's exterior had been hand carved with abstract heart shapes among many delicate long stemmed roses that adorned the wood. The petals seemed to sparkle in the firelight due to a brushing of gold dust that was intricately placed upon every tip of each rose. It's beauty was surreal. He was near breathless taking in the artist's message that he received while gazing at the masterpiece. He lightly traced the intricate detail of the door with his hand. He felt a prickling sensation upon his fingers. One of the razor sharp thorns upon the stems had pierced his skin. Blood droplets began to fall from his hand. He looked with wonder and awe as the door absorbed his blood from the exact place his fingers had been gouged. He looked closely to the stems, they were so perfectly carved they almost seemed to be alive. How could that be? He quirked his brow then ran his fingers through his obsidian hair. Glancing back at the canvas, he took notice to the fact the blood spatter was completely gone. It were almost as if the rose carvings had come to life, needing nourishment, they took communion from him.

As he stood before the locked room, he rummaged through his pocket. There at the bottom lay the key to this door. One he had never entered before, it was forbidden. He was told at a very young age to never to ever enter this room. After hundreds of years Gage's curiosity got the best of him. He had always wondered what lay inside this room? What could be so special about it? The door seemed to have had it's own bizarre form of security features. Could this door by chance bleed someone out? Was that the reason for the ornate detail? A design, so beautiful that one simply could not leave it be. Were the rose thorns on the canvas some sort of weapon used to keep people out? If so, what could be so important or valuable inside of this room to warrant that type of protection? For one brief moment before placing the key into the lock Gage began to smell the succulent fragrance of roses, it was very pronounced. The scent was inviting compared to the musty smell of the closed section. He shook his head, then placed the exquisite key into the lock. The scent grew stronger as he turned the key, The scent was almost sickening. Gage thought to himself, were these events all a warning of some type, for him not to enter the locked room? Many things about the LeStat castle were on the odd side but this by far was the most peculiar incident he could remember ever happening in the old section.

The tumblers inside of the lock made loud sounds as it unlocked. He peered in through the doorway, the interior of the room was pitch black. Even for a vampire it was by far too dark to see anything. Gage grabbed one of the torches from the wall holding it in front of himself. He stepped into the large room. The smell of the roses began to fade as the door closed behind him. Upon the walls were many portraits of a beautiful woman. One after another, paintings of this beauty adorned the walls. Without noticing he had walked for quite sometime admiring the woman in the pictures. He was so intrigued that he ran into something while being so preoccupied. Looking down at the obstruction, it became clear to him whom the woman in the portraits was. Inside of a rose colored glass coffin lay his grandmother Aubriella. He had always wondered where her remains lay to rest. Now there before him, she lay. He traced the crystal roses upon the glass enclosure with his fingers as he moved towards the head of the coffin. Aubriella appeared to just be sleeping. Her body perfectly preserved for hundreds of years. A dim light cast down upon her from the ceiling lighting up her beautiful features. Gage was very young when she had passed. He could only remember small things about her. He frowned feeling badly that he didn't remember her face though. Even now it was as if he were looking at a stranger.

It became obvious the more he looked around that this was Aubriella's chambers. Wardrobes full of beautiful dresses, royal robes and furs were everywhere at the end of the room. A servants quarters entrance was behind one of the closets. Aubriella always had her hand maiden with her no matter where she was. He could remember his Mother telling him. His grandmother's servant was more than help. She was Aubriella's friend. Gage peered into the quarters. He smiled while noticing the small servants room was nothing of the sort. Aubriella treated the young woman as family. Where one was the other followed. The two woman loved one another as friends and confidants. His eyes were drawn to a painting in the tiny hallway that led to the handmaidens room. It was a portrait of his grandmother and the girl. Gage had never seen this woman before. Upon the painting read, Aubriella and Akilah LeStat. Gage was sure the girl was the handmaiden. He could not understand why she had the last name of LeStat. He had never heard of this girl. Never in any stories that were told to him by his parents was this woman ever mentioned. Gage wondered if this woman still existed. Or had she met Aubriella's fate?

Gage looked inside of the small room a bit more. Upon a bureau lay a gold locket. He opened it, inside was a picture of the woman named Akliah and a man he had never seen before. The man wore knight's armor. An inscription on the back of the locket read "Lovers Eternally M and A" Gage had his share of run ins with his enemies in the Dragon Order. He knew most of the order members by name. He had never saw the man in the picture before. Gage wondered if the picture was old, that the people in the portraits were possibly deceased. Something about the locket drew Gage to inspect it further. A memory flashed before his eyes seeing this beautiful maiden and a knight in the LeStat Royal rose garden together. They were happy, he was making a crown of flowers for her head. Gage could hear the softness of his voice also the laughter in hers. Everything was so tranquil. Then a ruckus happened, the royal guard dogs went amuck. Gunfire could be heard. Once the commotion had stopped, the woman had disappeared. The knight looked for her, she could not be found, he fell to his knees, then sobbed like a child. Gage could hear the man speak through this lucid illusion playing in his mind. "Akilah, I will find you, no matter how many corners of this earth I must travel. I will find you, my one forever love." Gage wondered what could have happened to the girl? If she were family, how come he had never heard of her or the knight? Gage placed the locket into his jacket.

"Akilah, I will find you, no matter how many corners of this earth I must travel. I will find you, my one forever love." Gage wondered what could have happened to the girl? If she were family, how come he had never heard of her or the knight? Gage placed the locket into his jacket.

Forgiveness

"Forgiveness"

Gage looked at Coltessa his Stepmother.  When he saw her fall to his knees, a sense of awkwardness overcame him.  Never in all of his days did he ever think he would look upon her face and into her dark eyes.  She was here.  After all of those centuries, there she was.  Where had she been all of that time, when he needed her most.  After his Father David disappeared, Coltessa was soon to follow.  The kingdom was in ruins after what David's first wife Ayumi De Lioncourt had done in 1942 She, in a fit of rage and revenge. Single handedly ruined the kingdom.  It was reduced to rubble and needed rebuilding.  Ayumi, Gage's birth mother was angered when David fell deeply in love with his Stepmother Coltessa. Her jealousy and quest for revenge, made her do the things that she did.  Ayumi was never the perfect fit for David anyway.  She was a depressive, extremely jealous and a moody type, where David was jovial and loved to play pranks on others.

Years after Ayumi resurfaced,  Gage finally forgave her, although it took many years.  Her excuses and reasonings were not to Gage's liking.  He felt her excuses were less to be desired and quite un heartfelt.  His siblings started to return one by one as well.  Ayumi's children, all step brother's and sister's of Gage's.  Blaze; Silas and  Stella.  Gage's twin sister Black Princess Liza LeStat has recently come home as well.  Oh yes not to forget, the child that Ayumi had taken in on her own to raise as her hers.  Emma Swan Jones.  Ayumi's depression disorder controlled her back then.   She was so distraught and unstable, she thought her children would be better off without her.  She sent Little Emma away with the town blacksmith to return her to her rightful parents,  Emma was kept within the safety of a wardrobe for many years before she found her rightful parents. Even to this day, Gage and Emma have a very close relationship.  He would never allow one hair upon her blonde head to be harmed.  Gage loved Em, like a blood sister.  They are still very close to this day.  He loves her and always will.

Black King Gage Is The Ruler Of the Black Kingdom and Empire. . Black King Gage David LeStat was born to The Black King David LeStat and Dark Lady Ayumi De Lioncourt in the year of our Lord, 1394. Gage's Birth Mother Dark Lady De Lioncourt Left young Gage to rebuild the Empire by himself. Ayumi and his father Had a great hatred towards one another. Gage's Father Black King David LeStat married Lady Coltessa Raynes LeStat. When they vanished, Selene Denali stepped in as a motherly figure to the young crowned prince.  She raised him up as a noble prince.  This happened after Gage thought the worst scenario.  Was His Father and his stepmother dead?  Gage was left with a shambled kingdom to rebuild, he never received an explanation where they had gone, or whether they still existed somewhere.  He resented that fact.  Anger still festers within his black heart.

The young Black Crowned Prince was twelve years of age when they disappeared.  Gage worked night and day alongside the peasants to rebuild what his birth Mother had destroyed. With a lot of blood sweat and tears the Empire of the Black Kingdom rose like a phoenix from the ashes.  Black King Gage's Father David is thought to be deceased.  Gage however, swears he can feel his presence in the old wing of the castle when he is in there.  David's voice speaks to him whilst in the main office. Gage's Stepmother The Widow Coltessa Raynes LeStat had just resurfaced at the kingdom. Everything, was kept up and left just as it was when they vanished.  All of Coltessa's gowns, jewels and furs still hung in the large wardrobe untouched.

While Coltessa went to her knees.  Gage lay his hand upon her shoulder.  Stand Mother.  You mustn't grovel at my feet for forgiveness.  It is not Noble like.  You are one of the most noble women I know.  Stand...  Stand and face me.  I want to know where you have been.  I want to know, I need to know why I was left to rebuild the Empire and Kingdom alone.  If it hadn't been for Counsellier Selene, I would have gone mad.  She showed me the love and motherly obedience that I needed to become the man that stands before you now.  It is she, the one who deserves the credit for my upbringing and nobility.  I love Selene Denali, she will always be like a mother to me.  She put me in line when I needed it.  She Praised me, when I deserved it.  Selene wiped away my blood tears of despair, when I was left alone in this large place without a clue of where you and Father had gone.

I had a lot of work to do to regain the trust of the people.  Finally, I succeeded.  You ask me, if David's Coffin is still in your chambers?  The answer is yes, Mother.  I never once disturbed his things.  They are precisely as they were left, all of those centuries ago.  The only time they were disturbed, was when the staff was cleaning the back wing of the castle.  The staff were never unaccompanied.  There are only two heart shaped platinum keys to the old section.  Mine, and the one I just bestowed upon you.  Go...  Mother see for yourself.  Perhaps, it may bring closure to your blackened heart. Or perhaps, which I do hope does not happen, drive you to the brink of insanity.  We will continue our conversation after you have time to revisit your past with my Father.

Never Go Into Dad's Office

"Never Go Into Dad's Office"

Gage walked through the castle, nothing seemed as it should be.  He thought he heard a strange noise coming from his office.  What the hell he thought to himself.  His eyes turned obsidian as he quickly manifested into wolf form.  He jolted down the corridor to his office.  Indeed, someone was in there.  The door was cracked, a light was evident through the small space in between the frame and the ornate wooden door.

A sound of drawers being opened also a rummaging of his paperwork could be heard from outside of his office.  Gage stood there for a moment listening to the ruckus coming from within.  He wondered if Jack could be in there straightening up his things at first.  But why in the hell would Jack be in there in the middle of the night?  Gage pushed the door opened slightly with his nose.  Peering his canine eyes through the small opening.  He could see nothing yet,  he could only hear the sounds that had been resonating through the door before.

He listened intently, wondering if perhaps one of the babies had climbed out of their beds.  Sleepwalking? He thought, maybe but not likely.  Could it be Maks looking for paper to draw one of his very interesting pictures that he loved to draw?  If it was that young man would be in a lot of trouble.  The rule of the house was simple.  No one was allowed in Dad's office without him being present.  Gage shook his head.  The more he listened the more intrigued he became.  The more he heard his office being disrupted the more angry he became.  The fur upon his neck stood on end.  Now was time to see just what in the hell was going on in there.

Bearing his teeth then releasing a growl Gage barged through the door.  A shadowy figure stood behind his desk.  Gage hunched his back ready to attack this intruder.  Before he attacked he noticed a distinct familiar scent coming from the specter.  Who in the hell is that Gage thought to himself.  Why does he smell so familiar?  Gage inhaled the scent taking it deep into his wolf senses.  That smell.  He knew it, but why?  Gage's anger increased as he witnessed this man deliberately disregarding his presence.

Enough was enough.  Gage returned to his normal form.  He stepped towards the specter.  "Why are you  in my office?  Who in the hell are you, what do you want?  What in the hell are you looking for?  Gage's eyes still black as night, he growled low after he spoke awaiting the man to answer him.  The figure did not turn in his direction.  He simply ignored Gage's question.  To Gage's surprise the intruder continued looking through the contents within the drawers of his desk. "That is about enough.  Show yourself to me right now.  No one is allowed in here, these are my personal things.  You are not welcome here. I suggest you leave my office and my home right now.  Show yourself to me right now, dammit.  Do you hear me, whomever you are?"

The figure stopped in his tracks, a familiar sound of laughter resonated  through the office.  Gage knew that laugh, he had heard it before many many times.  He however, could not place who it was.  All Gage knew was that he somehow knew this person, whomever it was.  "Dammit, I have had more than enough of this nonsense.  Show yourself I want to know who the hell you are and why you are here going through my things.  If you do not reveal to me who you are, you will force my hand.  I will attack you.  Do you hear me?"  Gage growled again,  much louder this time.  He began to approach the man within full intent of a confrontation.

The man let out yet another familiar sounding fit of laughter.  Much, much louder this time.  As Gage approached the man, he suddenly turned to face him.  That face,  Gage knew those dark eyes and the smirk that was upon his lips.  As the man manifested from a shadowy form to a more clear appearance.  Gage stepped back.  His eyes widened.  Just who in the hell was he looking at?  The more the man shifted into a human form.  It became apparent to Gage just exactly whom it was.  But how?  How was he here.  Gage thought this man had died many centuries ago.

The man's featured softened, a devious smile appeared upon his face.  "Hello Gage,  This is my office, not yours silly boy.  What have you done to it?  Where are my documents, my things, what have you done with them?  Answer me, boy."  Gage's mouth dropped open as he finally figured out just exactly whom he was looking at.  It was his father King David LeStat.  But how was he here?  He was presumed dead for many centuries.  "Father, how?  How is it that you are here?  This is no way to announce your presence.  To come in here in the middle of the night without announcing yourself.  I am taken back as to how it is that you are here.  Don't get me wrong. I am elated to see you again, Tis' been too long. I was thirteen years of age the last time I laid my eyes upon you."

David looked at Gage.  I am here to warn you of something.  Yes, indeed I have departed the physical realm.  My time here is short.  You must listen to me, my son.  There is a great darkness that is coming.  Something so malevolent, you can't even fathom it Gage.  I am simply here to give you a warning of things to come.  Be mindful that a great darkness will be bestowed upon our family.  You have the right to know.  I am looking for a talisman.  A powerful trinket that will protect the LeStat lineage.  There are ones that do not like our kind, Gage.  They will come in large numbers.  It is only a matter of time.  One of your children has opened a door that should have remained closed.  These creatures are powerful, Gage.  I assure you of that.  They will come for you and your children.  In fact, they are already en route to the Black Kingdom as we speak.  That is the reason for my visit to you my son."

Gage didn't understand what David was speaking about.  "What creatures?  I have never laid eyes on this so called talisman of yours.  Where would it be?  Why is it that I have never seen it?  I know this castle like the back of my hand.  This item in which you seek is not here Father.  Not that I am aware of.  Unless you have hidden it somewhere in this large place.  Just what exactly does it look like?  What does it do?  Why is it important?"  Gage looked at his Father in anticipation of his explanation.  David moved across the room, continuing to seek out the item. "it is crucial that we find the talisman Gage.  Where did you move my belongings after my death?  You must take me to them now.  There isn't much time.  Do you wish to suffer the same fate as myself?  To be lost in purgatory for all time?  I don't even know how it is that I escaped the realm to come here to warn you of all of this.  All I know is I am here.  Right now, standing before you.  I'm not sure how long I have before I am sucked back into the hell from which I have been trapped in.  Think long and hard Gage, where are my things?  We have no time to waste."

Shattered Memories

Ayumi's sadness was overpowering her deeper everyday. From the day she let go of her kids her depression worsened. Moving from place to place she tried to disassociate from her horrible experience. Ayumi's children were her entire world. That being said, she knew deep in her broken heart that Gage and Emma would be better off without her. They would never have to witness her debilitating illness. She suffered with despair and despondency for her entire existence. Never being able to truly be happy, she slipped deep into the abyss of desolation. For many years she hid away in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. Living in a rundown cabin, she isolated herself, completely disappearing from the world.

Often she thought about her children, sometimes finding a subtle smile and joy in her broken heart. A vivid memory of their voices or seeing their beautiful faces. Ayumi often wondered if her daughter would even remember her. Emma was so very young when she had to leave them behind. Her fair haired pretty little girl, so young, so innocent. Most likely Emma would have no recollection of her mother at all. This deepened Ayumi's grieving condition. Emma was only four years old when Ayumi had to say goodbye to her precious daughter.

Ayumi began to have lucid dreams of both Gage and Emma. Sometimes the visions were so real she felt she could almost touch them. She would awaken to lonely darkened room, tears would stream down her cheeks. Nightly the same dream occurred, bringing Ayumi near to the brink of insanity. "Enough Ayu, you need to find your kids. You know Gage is residing in the Black Kingdom. King David is long gone." As for Emma, she did not know where she would have ended up at. She hoped the blacksmith found loving parents for her tiny heart, Emma LeStat. One day she would search for them, if even just to say how sorry she was for leaving them.

Ayumi had one other child in her lifetime with a another man. She too had to let the father take her young daughter named Blaze away. Grief stricken, Ayumi knew she just was too ill to raise children, to bring them up right and happy. She married a different man years later.  Never for one second, forgetting her other children, her heart always remained shattered.

After her divorce, she knew it was now time to reach out to her kids. She had found Gage and Blaze they were easy to find. her broken heart once again was decimated over her children.  They were all adults by now. One night Ayumi reached out to her kids in a dream state. She used a spell she had been taught by an elder vampire.  She began projecting her memories of that fateful day she had to say farewell to Gage and Emma. She hoped that the spell would reach into Emma's mind. Hopefully sparking some memories of Ayumi and that terrible day. Ayumi did not do this to sadden the now adult daughter of hers. She was hopeful, that possibly Emma would remember Gage and herself.
