Bio ( being worked on)
Birth/ younger
years:
Born to the founder of Poland and his second
wife, Kseniya was the fourth child. She was born along with her twin Świętopełk,
who was the third son born to Mieszko I of Poland. Their mother Oda of Haldensleben
was the second wife of the first King of Poland. Kseniya was the only daughter
born of Mieszko. Born with blonde hair and bright blue eyes with a crescent
moon birth mark on her left hip, Kseniya was full of life. Due to her being the only girl born to the
founding family; she was always looked after by her brothers. She was not only
a father’s daughter, but her mother’s as well. She took after both her parents
and learned everything she could.
Though she was not allowed to take up the
basic combat skills and even advance ones that her brothers had to attend with;
Kseniya had to attend with those of the female sport. Not only had to learn the
basic and advance of teaching, but how to be a perfect lady. Attending lady lessons, as well as basic
education, was her normal days. Like everyone within the founding family,
Kseniya had to learn the ways of the political realm.
Even throughout her younger years, she
became skilled in the many different languages that she was made to learn and
different customs of the many different cultures that the new country of Poland
had to encounter daily.
Teen years:
Growing into a young teen girl was like a
fairytale that anyone would possibly want to have in their lifetime. Typically,
many young teen girls in Poland land or any of the surrounding courts would
have gotten ready for marriage, yet not Kseniya. She drove herself to learn
everything she could about court. She may have been the quiet type, in fact,
many thought she was too quiet for her own good. The Blonde-Haired beauty used
the quiet nature she enquired to her own benefit. The first Polish princess may
never be written down in the history books, yet that did not matter to her. Using
that to her advantage when it came to the matters of court life. Where her twin brother went off to battles
for glory, the inner workings of court was the greatest fight for any woman of
her status.
The time would come when she would have to
meet her suitor, however, for the time of her teen years Kseniya enjoyed her
time on center stage. One might have thought that court gossip was just that
boring and gossip with little meaning, However, anyone within the actual court
knew how to use that to their advantage to further push their own status,
charity work, or other desires.
Young Adulthood:
In the young adulthood years, a woman of
Kseniya’s status would be married off. At times some younger than young adults
would be married off depending on the needs of the family. Kseniya being the
only female born to her father was protected from an early marriage. She was
also given a choice of being married off for a political marriage or to have
one chance to find her other half. Kseniya agreed that if she did not find her
other half or as she put it “the other side of her moon” then she would agree to
a political alliance marriage. She would have to still attend regular balls
where she would have to meet males. Those males would of course wish to have an
alliance-based marriage but would easily be turned down. Political alliances
could always be done through products or trade not just through marriage.
Kseniya knew enough to be able to maneuver around such things.
Love was the only way that the Blonde
Princess would every tie the knot. Marriages were always a political thing that
she saw around her, and they were filled with unhappiness when done in such a
way. That was the main reason why the desire of a love filled relationship would
be the only way a man could gain her hand in marriage.
Love as old as time:
