Atlas Titan Atlas was responsible for bearing the weight of the heavens on his shoulders, a burden given to him as punishment by Zeus. Father of many stars and a protagonist in one of Hercules' famous labours, Atlas was also known as a wise man and the founder of astronomy.

Atlas is the titan who was imprisoned by Zeus in the Pillar of the World, which is inside a dimensional membrane that separates the universes of the Multiverse, where Atlas is condemned to hold on to the dimensional membrane forever and for all eternity to prevent the dimensions from colliding and collapsing the Multiverse.

“And this is my decree: Atlas, for having stood by my father during the war, you will be condemned to carry the world on your back. You will stand on the Pillar of the World, preventing dimensions from collapsing and colliding, for all eternity. If you decide to stop holding on to the membrane that separates our worlds, it will cause the universes to start colliding in a chain reaction that will devastate the Multiverse, and we will all die, including your family.
