"The Bastard Prince Of The Black Kingdom"
The Past:
Many centuries ago, my Mother Ayumi and My father David parted ways. Ayumi was so distraught, she destroyed the Black Kingdom. She left me and my siblings behind. David was gone as well, along with his new wife, my Stepmother Coltessa. Gage was left to put the kingdom back together. His best friend, Selene Denali was more than eager to help Gage rebuild what was lost.
Selene mentored the young Prince the best she could. Gage was consumed by anger, at his birth Mother, also with his Father and new wife Coltessa. Although Gage loved all three of them, however he was destroyed mentally, by all that had occurred. His antics and his narcisstic personality, gave him the title of the "Bastard Prince Of The Black Kingdom. Gage did not care whether he was liked or disliked. He did what he pleased, no matter the outcome. Gage simply couldn't have given two fat flying fucks, what the servants thought of him. After all he was head of the Empire now.
Each Night Gage would go on a blood frenzy. Sometimes beguiling himself as his father, David. He would lure his victims in, then viciously ripped into their gullets drinking his fill, then tossing the bodies in a pile to rot. Finding, a group of servants conversing was his favorite thing. He would stand in the middle of them, then throw a projectile into the air, their bodies would begin to wobble to and fro. Their throats would rip open. Then in moment of glory, Gage was showered with their crimson sustenance from the entire group, The blood rain would pour, his mouth open, savoring every drop he could consume. The Blood Shower was one of his favorite spells.
He also enjoyed other tricks he had in his arsenal. A spell called "Inspire Hate" was another he enjoyed to use. Gage would enter a local tavern where the public would often meet to have drinks and conversation. He would viciously cast a spell upon the unsuspecting patrons. "Vae Victus" he would yell at the top of his voice. Man would turn against his brother. A bloody battle would commence where human subjects would turn against their friend or foe. Thus when the spell wore off, they would find that they killed their loved ones; confidantes and associates and dear friends. Bloodied and most of them left for dead upon the wooden floor. With this spell Minor grievances would escalate to murderous rage and oh, the sweet terror when the spell wore off and they saw their hands covered with their neighbor's blood. Gage would simply laugh, then leave the establishment. This was enough for this night Gage headed back towards the castle.
Gage walked along the stony edge of the cliffs, almost seeming happy to the fact his father's star had disappeared in a recent supernova. Perhaps Lord Alucar Nightshade had been right all along, regarding everything Gage had thought was true regarding his father David. But how? How did Alucar possess knowledge of the past? Gage never remembered this heinous being known as Alucar Nightshade from his childhood. How did he know of the deep seeded betrayals within the royal family? How much did he know? Gage knew he would have to summon the puppet master Alucar soon to gather what information he knew. Years of indifference's between he and Alucar had indeed taken it's toll upon The Black Prince. Once enemies with Lord Nightshade, Gage now looked upon this sinister man. as some sort of macabre father figure. His once deep hatred for Alucar, had now developed into a sincere admiration for Lord Nightshade.
The Black Prince felt the ominous darkness of Alucar, overcoming him. He could do nothing but allow the manifestation of The dread father to commence. Looking over to the portrait of his so called father, David LeStat. He watched with a smirk on his face as the colors of the oil painting began to swirl into an unrecognizable rainbow of hues. The painting began to boil, then melt towards the stony floor of Gage′s office.
Gage now looked upon Alucar as his father. The man he had been raised to admire as his father David LeStat, had forsaken him numerous times, so many things David had done enraged Gage. He found himself losing every ounce of respect, he ever had for David LeStat, his blood father. Gage smiled as he saw the nail now barren, where the portrait of David once hung. "That painting shall never be rehung in this office, Alucar my faithful loving father. You are whom I consider my blood now. You are now the man I do and will always respect as my father."
He smiled wickedly at Lord Nightshade then his attention turned towards his butler. Gage addressed Jack Hawkins, his assistant. "Clean up that large mess upon the floor, discard it all. It is nothing more than rubbish. That man, the one, that hung in that portrait, he is no longer my father, not anymore. He does not deserve to be called Father. He is gone, hiding somewhere. I suppose, as usual. He always takes refuge, when he is needed the most."
Gage had bid Alucar a good night. The two of them parted ways. Gage now feeling more power running through his veins than ever. Was it Alucar's doings or had Gage finally reached his full vampiric maturity. Gage loved the way he felt. He could do anything and no one could stop him. After all, he was The Bastard Prince of The Black Kingdom. Who could stop him, surely not Selene Denali. Yes she had been a wonderful help in rebuliding the castle, but Selene was not his mother.
The Present: "Thank You For The Venom"
Gage walked through the castle, nothing seemed as it should be. He thought he heard a strange noise coming from his office. What the hell he thought to himself. His eyes turned obsidian as he quickly manifested into wolf form. He jolted down the corridor to his office. Indeed, someone was in there. The door was cracked, a light was evident through the small space in between the frame and the ornate wooden door.
A sound of drawers being opened also a rummaging of his paperwork could be heard from outside of his office. Gage stood there for a moment listening to the ruckus coming from within. He wondered if Jack was in there straightening up his mess at first. But why in the hell would Jack be in there in the middle of the night? Gage pushed the door opened slightly, with his nose. Peering his canine eyes through the small opening. He could see nothing yet, he could only hear the sounds that had been resonating through the door before.
No one was allowed in Gage's office without him being present. Gage shook his head. The more he listened, the more intrigued he became. The more he heard his office being disrupted, the more angry he became. The fur upon his neck stood on end. Now was time to see just what in the hell was going on in there.
Bearing his teeth then releasing a growl Gage barged through the door. A shadowy figure stood behind his desk. Gage hunched his back ready to attack this intruder. Before he attacked he noticed a distinct familiar scent coming from the spectre. Who in the hell is that Gage thought to himself. Why does he smell so familiar? Gage inhaled the scent, taking it deep into his wolf senses. That smell. He knew it, but why? Gage's anger increased as he witnessed this spectre deliberately disregarding his presence.
Enough was enough. Gage returned to his human form. He stepped towards the creature. "Why are you in my office? Who in the hell are you, what do you want? What in the hell are you looking for?" Gage's eyes still black as night, he growled low after he spoke awaiting the man to answer him. The figure did not turn in his direction. He simply ignored Gage's question. To Gage's surprise the intruder continued looking through the contents within the drawers of his desk. "That is about enough. Show yourself to me right now. No one is allowed in here, these are my personal things. You are not welcome here. I suggest you leave my office and my home right now. Show yourself to me right now, dammit. Do you hear me, whomever you are?"
The figure stopped in his tracks, a familiar sound of laughter resonated through the office. Gage knew that laugh, he had heard it before many, many times. He however, could not place who it was. All Gage knew was that he somehow knew this person, whomever it was. "Dammit, I have had more than enough of this nonsense. Show yourself I want to know who the hell you are and why you are here going through my things. If you do not reveal to me who you are, you will force my hand. I will attack you. Do you hear me?" Gage growled again, much louder this time. He began to approach the man within full intent of a confrontation.
The person let out yet another familiar sounding fit of laughter. Much, much louder this time. As Gage approached the man, he suddenly turned to face him. That face, Gage knew those dark eyes, also the smirk that was upon his lips. As the man manifested from a shadowy form to a more pronounced appearance. Gage stepped back. His eyes widened. Just who in the hell was he looking at? The more the man shifted into a human form. It became apparent to Gage just exactly whom it was. But how? How was he here. Gage thought this man had died many centuries ago. Before him stood a man he loathed, his birth Father David LeStat.
Gage sneered at David, His eyes narrowed, "You are not welcome here anymore. You left me alone. You have forsaken me for the last time. I do not want you here, nor care to see you. You're wife Coltessa, I have no ill feelings towards, but you. That's a different story. You were supposed to raise me up. Be my mentor, You piece of shit, you left me to others to be mentored. I have put you out of my heart and mind, You need to leave this house, at once. David, you are unworthy of my presence. Now leave and never return. I detest you, deeply. Nothing will fix it. Too many years have past, without your influence. Maybe that was the best gift you ever gave me, to leave me at fifteen, alone, confused and always wondering why you left me. I have a little gift for you David, you Bastard. It's called Hate. I hate you. Now that you know how I feel, you can NOW LEAVE MY HOUSE AT ONCE...
