A new adventure {Storyline with Valentina}
Category: Uncategorized

Some Background:

The gypsy life is not for everyone, but it is an old tradition that has spanned over centuries. Much of their traditions have been a secret to the outside world, but always for a reason to protect the people of the gypsy culture. One such set of gypsy parents that lived in Romania, in fact, were those of royalty among the gypsy had a son that would be Stefan Andrei. The young boy was the heir to the Romanian throne, but with great power comes great responsibility. Stefan was given all that he would need to understand how to take care of the matters of court and his abilities that had been passed down throughout the generations. Stefan knew that he had a great responsibility that had been placed upon his shoulders, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t make mistakes.

Stefan growing up made many different mistakes that appeared to the court to label him the troubled prince. The Romanian prince fought his magical abilities and thus fought for his stop upon the throne. Especially when his parents had other children that wanted their own glory.  Stefan was the type of child that craved knowledge knowing that one way towards glory was through the knowledge that one had within themselves. He knew from leaders of the pass that to become a great leader one must have great knowledge as well as strength.

Stefan was one that did not think that anyone of his siblings would stand up against the fact that he would be the next king of the gypsies. That was one flaw that he had and one that he would later regret.  Stefan wanted to explore the world at least to see what was out there before he had to take the role that his father possessed. He knew that he would have to become the Gypsy King, yet at the time Stefan just was not ready. He had yet to explore the world and see what was out there to understand everything that he would need to take the throne. Stefan wanted to be a good king for his people, but to do that he had to have experience with the world and a queen to take the throne with him.

Present day:

Stefan in the dead of night decided to leave his home and family to explore the world. The young prince knew that there was something out there that was missing from his life or someone. He traveled without anyone knowing where he was going or anyone to guard him. This caused him for the first time to be out on his own without anyone to protect him. He felt it was the only way to truly become the rightful king. There was still a lingering thought in the back of his mind that while he was gone one of his brothers or sisters would take over the throne.

He knew his family and the population of his kingdom would look at him fleeing in the middle of the night as he is fleeing the responsibility of the throne. This was not the case because he had no shellfish reasons for his travels. Stefan began to enjoy his travels both in the daylight and moonlight. He enjoyed meeting people of all kinds and statues. He learned about everything and everyone, no matter what status they were, which was something that he could not gain behind the castle walls.

The Forgotten Romanian Prince found his way to the kingdom of the Ottomans. He did not know how or why he was there, but his travels seemed to bring him there. The Ottoman Empire was vastly different than his kingdom. They had a different religion than he was used to and something he would respect. He traveled through the streets to the marketplace seeing what all they had for travelers. The kingdom’s people were kind and showed him their ways for the most part. Stefan asked one market vender who ruled the lands, and the vender told him the Sultan royal family. He found out the family had been in power for centuries. This impressed him and Stefan knew that he had to learn more about the family.

It did not take him long to find his way to work for the royal family even though like them, Stefan had the same status. To Stefan the knowledge of how this family worked was for the betterment of his own people. One day as he walked through the halls, Stefan saw a princess that drew his attention. “I need to know” he said to himself. He knew not how he was going to do such a thing, but he was determined to do it. He was willing to work his way up through the ranks if he had to. Stefan was determined to make a life for himself and gain all the knowledge that he could while he was within the kingdom.

Because he was new to the empire, Stefan found his way to the harem not knowing that it was off limits to the public especially to men that were not eunuchs. It was not that he was trying to be disrespectful, but he was curious. Stefan walked through the harem not knowing where he was going or exactly where he was located within the walls. He was truly lost, and his curiosity got the better of him. The only other thing it could possibility was if something was drawing him to the harem, yet the young prince did not know.

A new adventure: Palace cat catches the alley cat{Storyline with Valentina}

Rules, laws, or guidelines was not something that Stefan particularly cared for, nor would he ever enjoy doing. Sure, he knew that there was some that he could not get away from unless the Gypsy prince wished for death. This was always going to be his downfall, and he had been warned about multiple times in his life. However, he was a thrill seeker, and the rumors of the one named Valentina was something that Stefan could not resist. The young gypsy prince knew very well the rumors not just to the one named Valentina but her whole family. The family was led by females that were both strong and not to be put down by any male within their lives. He knew this trait could be trace back all the way to the very beginning of the family, which was Ishtar and Enki, the old gods.

Though Enki was the male god, Ishtar far out powered him in many ways. He was able to speak to his wife and guide her as a husband should but knew that if she were to get something into her head then there was no stopping her. This carried on to the other Tenebris women and most likely would continue. On the other side of things, Stefan came from a long line of men simply being men. This did not mean that the men were aggressive towards their women, nor would they ever cheat or harm them. This simply meant that the men were far more in control than the women were. There was always women places and men places growing up where each gender could be in control within the Romanian Gypsy culture. However, the men were the ones that mainly in control and where the ones that brought protection and wealth.

Stefan was vastly different than his father, though he was a stubborn and alpha male; there was a side of him that enjoyed women who were strong. He disliked women who had no minds of their own and simply bowed down to men. It was a bore, but a woman who could handle herself was a thrill and someone who would catch his attention. So, in all honesty, the young Romanian Gypsy Prince hoped that the rumors were true about the one named Valentina. He knew it would be a risk. But a risk is always worth taking in the end for Stefan even if it came to a knife’s end.

Knife’s edge:

Stefan had no true idea of where he was going. The inner workings of the harem were rumored to be a maze, but he had never thought that he could easily get so lost. The reason the harem was not easy to navigate for most unless they lived within was for the protection of the women within. Though he was a warlock when it came to someone with slightly greater abilities or those with better skills, Stefan was a fish dead in the water. Feeling a presence closed by then right behind him. His skin on his neck and arms bumped up due to the feeling of someone catching him off guard. He could smell her scent and though she had a blade to his throat was thrilled. “I’m not your ordinary man, Princess.” He replied throwing it out there that she was royalty.

“Some say stupid others say adventurous looking for a thrill.” He replied with a slight smirk upon his face. Stefan felt the blade upon his throat pressed deeper. He gulped once then looked down towards the blade. His eyes met the shine upon the cold metal. “If you wanted to call the guards.” he began to say. “You would have, but my guess is you could take me easy without any form of guards.” He replied with a slightly more respectful tone. This woman had to be the woman he had been looking for even if it was like a death’s wish the way how he did it. Feeling the blade press into him even more and feeling it cause a slight bead of blood, Stefan knew that he had to switch the situation.

“Name is Stefan Andrei, Romain Gypsy Prince. Well lost Romanian Gypsy Prince, long story.” He said with a thick Romain accent. “I have heard of the many rumors of the Tenebris family and the women within it. I had to find out for myself if they were as strong and strong willed as the rumors state. Powerful bunch.” He stated with a flat tone in his voice. He was speaking the truth. If he wanted to cause a scene, he would have just for the thrill of seeing what happened. He gave a slight smirk. “I would so like to met your father, so I can tell him how beautiful his daughter is.”

The Harem (A Storyline with Stefan Andrei)

Being born into a Royal family was never easy, especially for a female. Males had it a little bit easier but the females, they had many rules they had to go by and follow. Valentina tried to follow all of them but there were times when she just needed to escape her little gilded cage, she would slip out at night and walk among the people disguised of course but she would never do anything to shame the name or bring any problem to the family. She always liked to observe what was going on beyond the walls of the palace. Sometimes, it would work in the family's favor when she did that because she would hear things that she knew her parents or her Aunt should know. She also knew that, if she heard something and went to tell them it would mean that she was also telling on herself and yes, she would be reprimanded but she would always deal with those consequences later.

See, the thing is…Valentina and the whole Tenebris female family were different, they were special. They all were raised a little differently, they were trained to fight, using swords and hand to hand combat, that was something NO FEMALE should and would ever be trained to learn. The men in the family knew that some of the women in the family, some like Aunt’s, her mom, siblings, cousins and Valentina needed special training, so they had been trained since birth and some are still going through training, keeping up with the craft and special skills.

Valentina was told since she was young what happened to her mother and the rest of Tenebris sisters and it made her train even harder to make sure she was ready when the battle showed up and when the call to arms would come. The sisters had been separated for a long time and she knew that her mother, Isik missed her twin and her other siblings very much. There were times when she felt her mother’s pain over the loss of them. It wasn’t easy for her mother and in time, after she met my father and had me, it made things easier but it never filled the deep hole that my mother had. I am an only child so I don’t know what it would be like to be separated from your family like that but at the time, it had to be done, it was the only way to keep them all safe.

Of course her mother and father weren’t here right now, they had some business to take care of that made them leave the palace walls and me behind, so here I am, making sure things are getting done so when my parents return there would be no problems. Getting up before anyone else stirred in their beds, she made her way to the harem making sure that the morning meal would be served on time and that everything else that might be needed in there was there before she went onto other duties.

She was quietly talking to the attendants that would serve the other females in the family throughout the day, going through menus and things like that when she felt the disturbance, she turned her head quickly to the main room, motioning for the servants to remain quiet. Gesturing with her hand, she told the servants to leave out the back door, who in their right mind would come into a harem, knowing it would be an automatic death sentence if caught. Opening a panel in the wall, she slipped through, her eyes taken in any movement her eyes picked up on.

As she got to the main room, she slowed her steps and stopped, watching as a man she had never seen before look around. She watched him for a few minutes before silently slipping out from the hidden passageway and coming up behind him. “Not many men would dare enter the harem, so either you are an assassin or just stupid? Would you like me to guess which one you are?” Her sword came up and she pressed it against his neck before slowly making a full circle to face him. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t slit your throat or yell for the guards, so my father can torture you?” She moved the blade of her sword slightly, nicking his neck making a bead of blood appear on his skin.
